Iyuzeld Ghenu-hijf (/whost/ /hijf/ [transparent] [shrub; bush]) is a subtropical Large Town located in Starrybeech Dutchy, Ánjimku Kingdom, within the United Kingdom of Undermountain.

The name Iyuzeld Ghenu-hijf is derived from the Gnollish language, as Iyuzeld Ghenu-hijf was founded by Da̋ch Ra̋nvë̋nḱ 'Berry Calvin' Vûf̄sh Jó̄boī Ga̋chidaw̄ vyim Roxlendtræ̝rg, who was culturaly Gnollish.

Climate

Iyuzeld Ghenu-hijf has a yearly average temperature of 12°C (53°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a cool 11°C (51°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 13°C (55°F). Overview

Iyuzeld Ghenu-hijf was founded durring the late 14th century in summer of the year 1356, by Da̋ch Ra̋nvë̋nḱ 'Berry Calvin' Vûf̄sh Jó̄boī Ga̋chidaw̄ vyim Roxlendtræ̝rg. The establishment of Iyuzeld Ghenu-hijf suffered from many setbacks, delays, and obsticles, most notably a group of Iyuzeld Ghenu-hijf which required millitary assistance exterminate before the community could finish being built.

Iyuzeld Ghenu-hijf was built using the conventions of Gnollish durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Iyuzeld Ghenu-hijf is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Iyuzeld Ghenu-hijf is is constructed arround a semi-circular spacious baked earthen mainstreet, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town is protected by a well-crafted cobblestone fence tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. The town's frontieer-style defences are visibly old, but also obviously maintained semi-regularly. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with ocasional mantance of the towns defences.

Iyuzeld Ghenu-hijf has a very calm atmosphere. People can be seen relaxing, scocilizing, and going about all manner of business other than the daily grind. Men, women, children, all can be seen enjoying life in a laid-back way in the many parks which line Iyuzeld Ghenu-hijf’s streets. In spite of this, quite a few people can be seen reading and the town has an abundance of libraries. It’s quite clear the community values education.

Civic Infrastructure

Iyuzeld Ghenu-hijf has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Iyuzeld Ghenu-hijf. Iyuzeld Ghenu-hijf has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Iyuzeld Ghenu-hijf's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Iyuzeld Ghenu-hijf possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

Iyuzeld Ghenu-hijf has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Iyuzeld Ghenu-hijf's natural decorations nor waterways.

Iyuzeld Ghenu-hijf has a Guild of Roadworkers, who are responsible for maintaining the roadways and public paths within town. They also have the duty of enforcing all civil laws relating to the roadways.

Cultural Notes

Iyuzeld Ghenu-hijf's locals are divided into several castes. They may be organized by social role, by imputed nobility of birth, by ethnic origins, or any other dividing principle, but they cannot imagine any other way of organizing themselves. A hierarchy of castes is not inevitable, but there will be social and legal limits applied to ensure that each caste remains fixed in its function. The outside world may or may not respect these distinctions when dealing with the locals.

Iyuzeld Ghenu-hijf's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for the combined use of arcuated and trabeated construction, employing arches and constructed with post and lintel. The arch served as the style's chief structural element, with flanking columns serving as buttresses or decorations. While the general shape of their structures could be generously described as simplistic, the use of these arches and columns created a most distinct ascetic which is easily distinguishable on sight to armatures and experts alike.

In Iyuzeld Ghenu-hijf rainbows form quite often above the Large Town.

The Festrog near Iyuzeld Ghenu-hijf are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Iyuzeld Ghenu-hijf's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves consuming a local toxin to channel Chronomancy energies of tier 2 via recitation of scripture.
